However...I did A LOT of research to make sure I did it right, did it safely, and considered the health of my ears every step of the way.
Your body, do what you want with it. Think about all the pros and cons, and think about what you want. I started stretching my ears when I was a freshman in college and everyone told me not to do it for a number of reasons - I still went through with it because I wanted them so I stretched to 0g. The only thing I do is wear "hider plugs" when I've gone on job interviews just in case they're not body mod friendly.
I would say they're trampy.... but they're kind of gross, to be honest. And it can get infected really easily, so... just stick with ear and nose piercings.
I think PAINFUL!!!!!
I don't think it's a wise decision to get one! Like other people have said, you can affect your sense of taste, and it can seriously affect important things in life like job interviews. I don't know about 'trampy' but seriously, why do you need a hole punched through your tongue?!?!
Not gonna lie, it can look trampy it depends. And there seems to be lots of risks, so in my opoion it isn't worth it.
You do realize if you ever take it out you'll have a huge hole in your tongue...and eating sounds difficult. BUT IT'S PART OF YOUR PERSONALITY, SO DO WHATEVER YOU WANT TO EXPRESS YOURSELF.
Ppl only consider it trampy because a lot of trampy ppl get tongue piercings but who cares! It doesn't mean you are a tramp. I wanted one and I'm way far from a tramp but if you want it then get it. However I suggest you look up the hazards before getting it. It's why I decided against getting it myself.
