It's been like forever since i've been here so yeah! so hope you like this!!! :))

Chapter 2

I'm a big Football Fan

We Decided on eating at De Neve one of the residential restaurants at UCLA. We sat there, Dan and I eating our sandwiches. We filled our selves with senseless chatter about how our day has been, our classes and professors and people. Then he asked me about something that I actually cared about.

"So that little like wolf bracelet thing? What is that for? your little brother or something make it for you?" Dan asked I chuckled.

"No um, one of my friends from back home made it for me some time ago actually." I answered

"What for?"

I wasn't exactly sure what to say then I looked up at the t.v that was in front of me hanging on a brown brick wall. It was showing a football game.

"Timberwolves!, I'm a big fan of the Michigan Timberwolves."

"Oh cool, never knew that I'm more of an Ohio State fan, but hey nice to have a female friend who actually likes football."

"Yeah" I laughed

We sat in silence for a few minutes till Dan had spotted a few of his friends.

"Hey I'll be right back I'm gonna go over with the guys."

"Alright see ya." And with that Dan wondered off to go talk to his friends. Whilst he was gone I found myself fiddling with the small bracelet that I hadn't worn In a long time. The bracelet had meant so much to me before. Mainly because it held something deeper than anyone could understand. And it reminded me of the day Jacob told me He was a wolf child.

It was one of the cooler days in La Push. The wind was blowing hard enough to make my hair move. I was supposed to rain that day, so light from the sun was limited. Jacob and I were sitting on my front porch. I remember he was making fun of me because I couldn't touch the ground and my feet were swinging in the open air compared to him being at least 7 foot tall having no problem touching the ground.

"It's simply not fair. I swear that like you used to only be like 6 inches taller than me then all the sudden you freaking sprouted up and got muscular when you have never worked out a day in your life. I still wait for day when you explain to how that happened." At the time I was just joking. Little did I know I was going to be getting an explanation real soon. They always say be careful what you ask for and from that day on I learned I should start taking that into consideration.

"Ha. Do you want to go on a walk before it starts raining?" He said not real trying to ask a question, but more of telling me we were going on a walk.

"Yeah, sure."

With that we got up and started walking on a little trail that led into the woods. Little chatter. I could tell there was something he wanted to talk about. His head was down the entire walk. It wasn't till we were deep into the woods when he decided to stop walking and start talking. It was also then that the clouds decided to disperse it's rain upon us.

"Grand, So much for getting back before the rain. Now talk before I get drenched." I said as I crossed my arms, and took a couple steps backwards so I was leaning up against the tree. It took a while for him to start talking, but after a little prodding him finally started.

"Hunter you mean a lot to me. We've known each other since we were little and I can honestly say your my best friend. But um...we don't keep a lot of things from each other so I..."

"Jacob I love you to death, but right now your scaring me. So can you please just spit it out already." He truly and honestly was scaring me. I had never seen him like this scared to say something, being so hesitant.

"I'm sorry..." another very long pause. I was starting to get irritated.

"Fine, Jacob I have no idea what is going on here, but I'm trying to get sick because you couldn't just say what you had to say. So I shall see you later." I started walking back towards my house. I saw movies I knew how this was going to turn out after at least 3 seconds he was going to call my name and profess his love for me. Then He would kiss me gently and the sun would come out and the camera would slowly zoom out. I wished. All I heard were 3 words.

"I'm a wolf." Jacob said

I stopped dead in my tracks. It took a while for me to process what he had just said. I couldn't figure out if I had heard him right. So with a swift motion I turned around and questioned him.

"I'm a wolf." he repeated. I started walking back towards him.

"Are you okay? Jake your not making any sense." As I continued talking the more angrier I found myself getting.

"I'm fine Hunter, you know this stuff, the legends the stories that we used to be told all the time about the Tribe and what not. Do you remember them?"

I thought about it for the second. Yes I did remember the stories. Never believed them. I just thought of them as things the elders would tell us to scare us. There was absolutely no way that a regular human person could suddenly turn into a wolf.

"Yeah well I guess it's time I tell you that at night I'm able to turn into a fairy and I protect the flowers growing my backyard. Jacob what the hell is wrong with you?! You haven't been the same Jacob in a long time. Your never home. I often find you with your shirt off. When just a like month ago taking your shirt off made you uncomfortable. And You never come over anymore, when you used to come over like everyday. I want the old you back!" I felt nice to let all that out considering it had been building up for sometime now.

"Hunter will you please just listen to me. I promise you I am not lying. Have I ever lied to you?"

The worse part about that was that the answer was no. And that scared me, but i was to stubborn to admit that.

"Jake I'm sorry, but I have no idea what is going on here and It just seems to crazy to believe." I turned back around and started heading back.

"Hunter wait please!" he was still standing in the same spot he had been the whole time.

I felt horrible after. We didn't speak despite his best efforts for like 2 weeks. I knew he wouldn't just say something like that for no reason . I cried for 2 weeks to. To prideful to go and apologize.

I winced at the memory. I looked up from the bracelet and saw that the place was empty. No sight of anyone anywhere. I was getting ready to leave when someone said something.

"Finally awake huh?" A guy said. I turned around ready to respond then jumped at the unbelievable look alike of one of friends from back home Embry. The guy saw it.

"You okay?"

"Yeah you just look like someone. sorry."

"Your good. The guy you were with only left a couple minutes ago said he would be back soon and to tell you that."

"Oh well let him know I'm going to the library, thanks."

"No problem."

And with that I headed out. I wasn't really going to the library and Dan wasn't really coming back. I wasn't sure where I was going, but I was looking forward to where my feet were going to take me.
