Just Like Old Times
"Yes, I am currently single, but I have my eye on someone," He replied in a professional tone. I wonder who he likes...
"Uh hello, Jesse! He's totally into you!" Caitlin whispered in my ear quickly. I stiffled a laugh and turned my attetion back to the interview.
"Mrs. Stewart, what is your current relationship with Rob?" Kristen's eyes grew dark.
"No comment, next question," She said. I wonder what she's trying to hide....
After The Interview....
"Hey," Taylor jogged over to me, a breath taking smile on his face. I smiled at him, and Caitlin was staring at him.
"Well, I've got to go, see ya later Jess!" She said, winking at me, and walking off. I rolled my eyes.
"Oh, I forgot to say hi," I laughed.
"Can I-I-I d-d-drive you home?" He stuttered.
"You don't have to be so nervous, friend," I smiled. "And yes you may." Taylor nodded reliefly, his arm draping on my shoulder as we walked down the red carpet. Cameras flashed and questions flooded towards to Taylor and I.
"Are you two dating, Taylor?"
"Who is the girl with him?"
"Why is he touching her?"
"Is she his girlfriend?"
"What is her name?"
"How long have you two been dating?"
"Have you had intercourse yet?" That question disturbed me. Taylor. And I. Having sex....I shivered, the thought brought goosebumps. I shook the thought away and continued walking, ignoring the questions being thrown at us. I closed the door and sighed, fixing my dress. Taylor was grinning at me.
"Not used to the spotlight, huh?" He asked. I shook my head, looking at him.
"I'm suprised I actually made it out alive," I laughed. He laughed along.
"Well, people will pay good money for pictures of Taylor Lautner walking with a hot girl," He shrugged and we pulled out of the parking lot.
At My House....
I opened the door, Taylor right behind me.
"Mom! I'm home!" I yelled. I heard Taylor close the door.
"Oh thank god sweetie--" She stopped mid sentence when she saw Taylor. "Taylor? Little Taylor? Oh!" She hugged him and he hugged her back, laughing. Mom pulled away and put a plate of cookies out. Just like old times... I rolled my eyes and took a cookie, tossing my coat on the chair.
"Mom, we're not 5 anymore," I said, taking a bite. A rush of chocolate flooded in my mouth.
"You'll always be my little girl," She smiled and pecked my cheek.
"Mom...." I gave her one of those looks like "you're embarassing me, there's a boy here". I saw Taylor out of the corner of my eye, trying to hold in a laugh. I chucked my cookie at him and he let his laugh out as the cookie hit the floor, exploding everywhere.
"You better pick that up missy," My mom scolded me. I sighed loudly as I bent down and picked up the cookie crumbs. Taylor was still laughing. When I stood up, I kicked his shin, lightly yet hard.
"Ouch! Mrs. Anderson, Jesse kicked me!" He said in such a little kid tone it was funny, while pointing at me.
"Shut up," I spat through gritted teeth, playfully, elbowing his side.
"She hit me!" He said, grinning at me. I grabbed his head and wrapped my arms around it and pushed it low to the floor, and jumped onto his back. I laughed as he struggled to get me off of him. His arms tickled my sides and he pulled me off of him, and flung me over his shoulder, his arm gripping my legs. I scratched his back hard, trying to see if he'd let me go. Which, failed. I sighed as Taylor turned around, facing my mom, and I was facing the other way.
"I turn around for two seconds and you are at each other's throats," She sighed. I rested my head on my hands, giving up. He carried me up the stairs, and he walked into my room. He stood there for moment, then spoke.
"Hey, nice butt Jess," He chuckled. I hit his back.
"Perv! Now set me down!" I commanded, crossing my arms. He lifted me up and set me down, my postion not breaking. I stood there, a stern look on my face, my arms still crossed. He chuckled again.
"So where's your dad?" He asked, sitting on my bed, his hands resitng on his thighs. The memories came rushing back.
"Happy birthday dad!" I said, running into the living room, holding a cake. My dad wasn't sitting on the couch like he was a few minutes before, watching t.v. His body was laying om his stomach and there was blood everywhere. I saw his head laying next to the t.v., blood dripping out from it. I screamed and let the cake fall out of my hand. I covered my eyes and fell on my knees, crying.
"Honey, what's wrong?" My mom asked rushing in. She screamed and pulled me into a hug, crying. I cried in her chest and she pulled away, grabbing the phone and dialing 911.
End of flashback...
Tears blurred my vision. Taylor got up and walked over to me, looking down into my eyes.
"What did I say?" He whispered.
"Taylor, you won't ever see my dad again..." I trailed off, hoping he'd catch on. He did and he pulled me into a tight. I wrapped my arms around his neck, comforted by his sweet scent. I felt a few tears escape and they trickled down my cheek. Taylor pulled away and wiped away the tears with his thumb.
"Please stop crying..." He whispered, "Now I wanna cry..." I laughed slightly and wiped my own tears away with my sleeve.
"You're so sweet Taylor..." I said and placed a gentle kiss on his cheek. He flashed a weak smile and pulled me into another hug.
"Thanks, but...how did he die?" He whispered. I gulped and spoke softly.
"He was murdered..." Taylor pulled away, his hand caressing my cheek. I felt so protected when I was near him. I knew he would do anything to make me happy, but I felt so guilty because I knew I couldn't do the same for him. I knew I had deep love for him, and he felt the same.
"I am so sorry Jesse...only if I wouldn't have moved away..." He was blaming himself.
"Taylor, it's not your fault...my dad was justin the wrong place at the wrong time..." I cooed, rubbing Taylor's shoulder. Taylor looked at me with deep sadness; it hurt to look into his brown eyes. "I love you like the brother I never had, Taylor," I said. "I have to go to the bathroom," I added, my hand resting on his shoulder a moment before I walked into the bathroom, and shutting the door gently.
"I love you like the brother I never had, Taylor," She said. "I have to go to the bathroom," She added, her hand resting on my shoulder a moment before she walked into the bathroom, and shutting the door gently.
"I love you like the girl I may never have, Jesse," I replied, wishing she was here to hear what I said.
