Prince Of The Fire Nation —— And Possibly My Heart (A Zuko Love Story)
Since I find Zuko, from Avatar: The Last Airbender, extremely amazing and just the definition of an inspirational person (;u;), I decided to write a love story with him! ^^
I hope you enjoy[ed] this story! I think it's probably one of my best.
As of 7/5/12, I have edited and tweaked the story to my liking. :)
Just The Beginning
"How many times did I tell you not to throw me into water?" I asked, squeezing my hair so water would fall out.
"That's why I told you to wear your swimming suit!" he laughed and scooped me into his arms. I laughed and felt his lips on mine. I kissed him back and he pulled away, his lips curling into a happy smile. "I love you, Arabelle."
"I love you too, Zuko."
It all ended too soon for me. My life. I was only fourteen when my life ended. Well, not really.
But it felt like it.
It was three years ago. The day Azula murdered her own brother, Zuko. I had fallen in love with him two years prior to that place in time.
I can't believe she just took him away. She just took away his soul, his heart — his life.
Azula was now living in a mental institute, and I'm residing in a small cottage just out of Ba Sing Sei. And of course, I have my lovely Pigmy Puma, Aida with me. She was now the size of two tigers, and knows how to take down three Fire Nation soldiers at once.
Although I am alive, part of me is dead.
My bond with Zuko was so strong he became my other half.
Who knew that'd I'd be happy again.
"Arabelle, my child," an angel spoke, and my eyes snapped open. I sat up slowly, and saw that I was in the Fire Lord's throne room. "Come here, young one." I stood up, a little dizzy in my head. I walked towards the same angel that had brought Zuko back with her. "Tell me, Arabelle, how much do you miss Zuko?" My eyes immediately began to water.
"Zuko was my everything. He was my world. Now that he's gone," I began to breakdown in tears, "I'm nothing! He was the reason I even helped the Avatar. He was the reason I stayed alive during the war! I can't live without him and I'm not alive without him..." I cried so hard, a puddle literally formed below me. "Please! Bring Zuko back! I miss his kisses, his hugs, him holding me tight. I know he misses me, too. He rescued me from Jet, and risked his life to save me against Azula. Please... let him come back with me. He's my everything." I fell to the ground, my hands covering my face. A few seconds later, I felt the hands of the angel. She lifted me up; I felt as light as a feather.
"Close your eyes, and count to three," she whispered in a clam and soft voice. I closed my eyes and whispered 1, 2, 3.
I was on something soft. My eyelids lifted and I was on a large, red bed. I turned on my side to see someone. He hadn't changed. He still had the same, beautiful, creamy golden eyes and his hair was still pitch black and looked ever so soft. And he still had scar that he had received from his father many years ago. My heart almost stopped in suprise.
"Zuko..." I whispered, my voice cracking. "Zuko!"
Zuko opened his eyes, and they caught mine. His lips curled into a smile and I tackled him.
"Zuko! Zuko!" I cried tears of happiness, and I heard Aida's pawsteps entering the room. "Zuko!" I couldn't stop saying his name. I was so happy that he was back. I cried in his chest and kissed my head.
"Oh my god... Arabelle... I missed you so much..." his arms wrapped around me in warm, protective embrace.
"I missed you too, Zuko. How did you get back?"
"I don't remember anything, really. The only thing I remember is that angel coming into my room and laying her hand on my head..." he broke off, closing his eyes. I snuggled close to him, and inhaled his amazing scent that I had been dying without. I sat up, and stared into his eyes.
"I was dying without you, Zuko."
"I was watching you, Ara. I have been watching you ever since I died..." I leaned down and pressed my lips to his. I had longed for his lips for a long time. I wrapped my arms around his neck and his around my waist. I never wanted this kiss to end. I pulled back, reluctantly, and pecked his cheek.
"I love you, Zuko."
"I love you too, Arabelle. I always have, and I always will."
It's been ten years now, and both Zuko and Arabelle are a happy, married couple with a boy and a girl. The boy, Drake, is eight, and the girl, Arabella, 5, are the couples' world. Drake looks like a mini Zuko, but has his mother's eyes. Arabella, on the other hand, looks exactly like her mother with the exception of her father's eyes. Over all, the four are a lovely family.
Zuko became Fire Lord Zuko, and brought peace and love back to all of the Nations. Arabelle became Fire Lady Arabelle and stays at home to take care of the children. Zuko is currently 28 years old, and Arabelle is 26. They plan on spending the rest of their life together, and love each other to the world's end.
Aang, the Avatar, got married to Katara, and they had Tenzin, a very sweet boy, and a master of Airbending.
Unfortunately, Sokka and Suki didn't stay together due to their frequent arguing.
Mae, Zuko's long-time-ex-girlfriend, visits Zuko and Arabelle quite often, and babysits their children when they got out to eat together alone.
Ty Lee joined Suki in the Kyoshi Warriors, and has the best friendship with them ever. She has changed and has a strong bond with all of the Warriors, but especially Suki.
Zuko's uncle, Iroh, teases his nephew still, and is very happy that Zuko finally found 'eternal happines' and is happy with Arabelle. Arabelle herself thinks Iroh as her father, and they both care about each other deeply. Zuko, of course, loves his uncle even more now, and couldn't be happier with his family.
Sorry, but I just had to write another chapter. Gotta have happy endings! xD Ok, this was and will be the last chapter. Hope you liked the new ending! :D
