Life Is Like A Chalkboard: A Love Story

Life Is Like A Chalkboard: A Love Story

A story of life and love in the strangest of circumstances. The moral of this story:
Life is like a chalkboard:
It doesn't what was there when you found it;
All that matters is what you keep, what you erase, and what you WRITE.

Enjoy.

Chapter 1

Preface: From The Beginning

INVESTIGATION ROOM 626
PERSON OF INTEREST: VICTORIA CARPENTER
INVESTIGATOR: FEDERAL AGENT RICHARD D'MONQU
CONTACTING HIDDEN CAMERA
P.O.I. AND INVESTGATOR SITTING IN CHAIRS ACROSS FROM EACH OTHER AT INVESTIGATION TABLE
UPLOAD INITIALIZING

~Richard D'monqu~
So, tell me, Victoria, how exactly did this all begin?

~Victoria Carpenter~
It's a long story.

~Richard~
You should talk.

~Victoria~
You should listen.

~Richard~
.....

~Victoria~
There are a couple reasons why my story -OUR story- is strange. The first is that, well, it wasn't the mooshy-gushy love-at-first-sight kind've thing. When I first saw Mr. Lowe, sure, I thought he was cute. Maybe a little more than cute. In all reality, he was just about the best-looking teacher I'd ever had. Most girls said that he looked nice for his age, but...I don't know. I guess I just like older men. Not that Mr. Lowe was OLD. Nah, he was just, you know, old. A grown-up. But back to the story.
So, when I first saw Mr. Lowe, I admit that the first thought to pop into my head was "Wow, he's handsome.", but I never thought that things would escalate to the level they did. Then again, he probably didn't, either.

INVESTIGATION ROOM 627
PERSON OF INTEREST: RANDALL LOWE
INVESTIGATOR: FEDERAL AGENT RACHEL D'MONQU
CONTACTING HIDDEN CAMERA
P.O.I. AND INVESTGATOR SITTING IN CHAIRS ACROSS FROM EACH OTHER AT INVESTIGATION TABLE
UPLOAD INITIALIZING

~Rachel D'monqu~
So, Randall, when you first met Victoria, did you anticipate anything that would happen after that day?

~Randall~
You really want to hear everything? From the beginning?

~Rachel~
From the beginning.

~Randall~
Okay, but it's gonna take awhile.

~Rachel~
I'm all ears.

~Randall~
I hope you can be more than that. I hope that you can be the first person to listen, to really understand.

~Rachel~
Let's see. Maybe I will be.

~Randall~
The first time I saw Victoria Carpenter, I thought she was really pretty. If I were still in high school, I would've told all my friends that I thought she was hot, but that would be just about it. The day I met Victoria, I was nearly sixteen years out of college, and in my early forties. I didn't have time to tell people which students I thought were pretty and which weren't. Besides, they would've thought I was some kind've perv, but -honestly- I know some of the other male teachers have the same problem. It was just part of life for men to be attracted to pretty women. Did I honestly think that my realationship with Victoria would exceed anything more than teacher and student, you ask? No, not at all.
Boy, was I wrong.
