Fullmetal Alchemist Fan-Fic
I'm gonna start a fan-fic, it takes place in the 1900s. I'll try thinking of a better title, but this one will do for now. :P
It's in the point of view of one of the Elrics' dearest friends, Rebecca(Becca) Whitlock.
Alphonse is 4, Ed is 5, and my character is 4 too. It'll go from the past to the present.
I always enjoyed waking up early to get to the Elrics' house. Edward was my best friend, and he had a little brother, Alphonse, and he was just too kind. I always played with them, because we lived nextdoor. They were into alchemy, but my mother said it was too dangerous for me. I practice a little when I play with the Elrics.
My mom and I were walking to the Elrics' house, just as we do everyday. My mom would talk to their mom while we played. It usually lasted all day, because they were inside while we were outside practicing alchemy and having fun.
Right when we got there, I ran up to them and hugged them real tight. "Hey, guys! What are we going to do today?"
Al said, "Hi, Becca!" He started squirming. "Why do you have to hug us so tight?"
"Sorry," I said, as I let go. I punched Ed's arm playfull and said, "What's up, shrimp?"
Edward got an angry expression on his face and said, "DON'T CALL ME SHRIMP!!!" I couldn't help but laugh at him. Al started laughing too, while Ed was fuming.
I hugged him as I said, "Aw, come on. You know I'm kidding."
He looked up at me and smiled, and I smiled back.
All of a sudden he jumped up and yelled, "We made something for you!" Al started jumping up too, remembering what it was they made.
Al happily said, "We'll be right back! We have to go get them." They ran inside, and about five minutes later, they came back.
Ed ran out first and said, "I made this for you." He stuck his arm out in front of him holding it, and it was a flower decoration. "My mom likes it when we make them for her." He paused for a second. "So I thought I should make one for you." He started blushing a little.
I looked at him and said caringly, "Thanks, Ed. It's wonderful!" He grinned at me, and I smiled back.
Al soon came running out as he handed me a flower decoration, but some pedals were crooked and some were missing. He looked down and started kicking dirt. "Sorry it's not great. I'm not as good as alchemy as Ed-"
I didn't let him finish. "I love it, Al!" I tightly hugged him, even though he told me he didn't like that. He started squirming again so I let him go.
I loved how he put effort into making me one, even if it does have pedals missing. It was the thought that counts.
My mom walked out of the house, and she looked worried. "Becca, we have to leave."
All three of us stared at her in disbelief. I asked, "But why?"
She paused for a second. "Trisha doesn't feel good, so she needs some rest." I nodded in agreement, and then we left. The whole walk to my house, I looked back waving at them.
A few days later, Trisha, Al's and Ed's mom, died. She died from an illness, but we don't know, the doctors do.
At the funeral, Alphonse was crying terribly. He was sitting on the ground, and he was covering his face. Edward didn't cry. He barely looked sad. Tears were pouring down my face, but it wasn't as bad as Alphonse. I stayed after the funeral with Al and Ed, to make sure they were okay, even though I knew they weren't. After awhile, my mom and I had to leave. The last thing I heard from them is that they're going to bring their mom back...
I walked into the kitchen and sat at the table, staring down at it. I wasn't in a very good mood, because its been awhile since I've seen them.
My mom walked up to me and said caringly, "Is something wrong?"
I said silenty, "I haven't seen them in awhile. Can I see them?"
My mom thought about it for a minute, but then she gave in. "I guess so."
I grinned as I got up and ran out the door. When I got to their house, I knocked on the door, but there was no answer. I knocked again, but more forceful.
Someone finally answered it, but it was someone in armor. They looked happy to see me. "Hey, Becca! I haven't seen you in awhile." In awhile? I've never even seen them before!
Someone else started walking up to the door as they screamed, "Al, who is it?" They sounded exactly like Edward. But he called the guy in the armor "Al". But it couldn't be him...
Then, they told me all about it. How they tried, and failed, at transmuting their mom. Ed put Al's soul in the armor, because if he didn't, he would die. He gave his arm for it, so now he has an auto-mail arm and leg. I offered to go, but they wouldn't let me. They said they don't want me to get hurt.
I stayed back as they went off, but I knew that I would regret it. I wanted to go to help get the Philosopher's Stone. After that, I thought I would never see them again. But I was wrong.
