"Whats that brat?" Ball slightly giggled while coming down from his laughing fit, "Holy Water? You think that stuff would hurt me?" "I don't know," I shrugged opening the bottle, "but I got to try and see." "I like that attitude," He grinned while getting into a fighting stance, "but what makes you think I'll even let you try." Throwing the bottle towards him, I ran out of my room and down the front stairs as I heard him groan in pain. "You little shit!" he yelled as I heard him following me, "I'll kill you!"
Outside the darkness started to creep up on the town. Which meant that I would be at a disadvantage. Demons were the most powerful at night and I had happened to piss off one demon you don't ever want to run into. "Come here!" Baal shouted as he dropped in front of me. His face looked as though it was melting off, he had steam coming off his face and I could tell it was from the Holy Water. "Nice makeover," I grinned to try and hide my fear, "want another one?" "Nice job using the highest grade of Holy Water around," he smirked, "is that all you have then?" Crap, I thought to myself as I looked around to see what I could use to fight him with. Nothing but a few branches and a trashcan were left laying around.
"Don't disappoint me," Baal sneered as he grabbed my shirt collar, "I'm hoping you don't taste like a human. I hate the tastes of humans, demons taste much better." Opening his mouth and grinning at me, I couldn't help but look away. His teeth were many and long, he was drooling and his eyes had turned all black. He was a scary guy indeed. Letting go of my collar and grabbing my neck instead he started to squeeze. "You are a disappointment," he laughed, "well at least the demon world won't have such a disappointment to deal with." "Let me go," I struggled to say as he tightened his grip. I started trying to kick him as my world started to go black. "What was that brat?" He asked as he brought me closer to his face, "you want me to let you go?" "Let go," I whispered half awake. "After I kill you," he announced as he sniffed up the side of my neck, "I'm gonna kill that pretty mother of yours. Mmmm I bet she would taste delicious. A demon like her, I would kill to have one of my own." My thoughts shifted to my mother as I started to fight my way back to reality. "Don't you dare touch her!" I shouted as I opened my eyes and stared at him, "I'll kill you!" "What the hell is this?" He gasped as he started to loosen his grip on my neck, "what the hell are you?!"
The look of fear in his eyes started to scare me. What am I? What does he mean by that just a few seconds ago he was ready to kill me and now he's afraid of me. Turning to run he took off back into the house as I followed him. "Come back here!" I shouted at him as he ran upstairs to my room again, "I'm not finished with you." As I charged into my room, I could see him standing by my window with the bottle of Holy Water in his hands. "You," He grinned, "now I see why they wanted me to test you." "Who?!" I shouted at him as I lunged across the room at a speed that surprised even me. Gripping his neck and bringing him off his feet, I held him in the air as I stared him down. "Trust me kid," He grinned, "you'll go far if you keep relying on that strength. You'll burn Hell over with that fierceness." Baal lifted his hand and pointed to the mirror across from us. "That is the look of a true demon," he grinned, "you are a demon. A true demon." Looking at the figure in my mirror I didn't recognize myself. My face had been transformed into a grotesque looking figure with fangs. My skin had turned pale and my eye color had changed to a dark blue. On top of my head sprouted two horns that reached up into the air. Behind me a pair of wings and tail. I had transformed into an actual demon.
"You look surprised," Baal laughed, "you've never seen yourself like this? Which means you've never transformed out of your human form!" With the last of those words, Baal brought up the bottle of Holy Water and sprayed it across my face. The pain was excruciating. I dropped Baal and reached for my face as I heard it sizzle against my skin. The scream of pain that came from me was loud and ear shattering as I doubled over in pain. Gripping my hair, Baal brought me face to face with him. "You may be humanized, " he huffed in exhaustion, "but Holy Water hurts like a mother doesn't it?" As Baal reached into his pocket, I transformed into my real form as he dropped me to my knees. "Apollyon!" my mothers voice shouted from behind me as I felt her run to my side, "Apollyon look at me!" "He's fine Cresil," Baal snapped at her while throwing something in my direction, "don't baby him too much, it'll ruin him." "You bastard!" my mother shouted at Baal as he waved her off. "Don't blame me," he shrugged, "I'm just following orders. You better take care of his wounds, I wouldn't want him to look like he got the crap kicked out of him on his first day of school." My mother pulled me into her arms as Baal jumped out of my window and disappeared. "I'm going to be ok," I comforted her as I felt her tears drip onto my face. "I'm sorry," she cried.
Reaching out to grab the object Baal had thrown at me, I realized it was an envelope. Opening it I started to read: /Dreadful Apollyon,
