Every King needs a Queen (Jack Atlas Love Story)

Chapter 1

Welcome to my World

Welcome to New Domino City, they city of fancy care free living and luxury, not to mention dueling, the whole city practically lives off of it. That’s one reason why I miss the Satellite, yeah; I know I have to be crazy to miss that place right? But it’s the place where my family is. After I was taken away from my brother, half of me felt like it was ripped from me. It’s been seven years since then, and not a day has past that I don’t think about him. What I would give to see him again, but of course my stupid manager won’t even let me look at the Satellite let alone go near it. I’ve been alone for seven years, seven years without family or friends, just cold hearted business men who work me until I drop so they can earn a profit. I’m sick of this life, I’m sick of the people, of the work and of the fame! All I want is to be back with my brother and my friends, back to the place that I use to call home, instead of this dead empty penthouse that I sadly call home. I know that I should feel blessed to have this life, but what is life without being around people you love and care about.

“Raven, it’s time to go sweetheart, your next show starts in two hours and you need time to get ready,” Philip said as he walked up behind me as I stared out the window at the ocean. “You can day dream later; we really must get going dear.”

“Tell me again why I must always perform at these pointless dinner banquets? They’re a waste of my time and energy,” I replied quietly as I turned around and started walking towards the door. “And when are you going to help me find my brother, you promised you would.”

“I know my dear, all in good time, right now we must focus on the tasks at hand and then we’ll think about taking a trip to that hell hole that they call the Satellite to find that wrench you call your brother.” He replied as he followed me, but stopped suddenly after I slapped him hard across his face.

“Don’t you EVER talk about my brother like that again, do you understand! You have no right to call him that, after you and your filthy little creeps took me away from him!” I said furiously as I glared at him.

“You’d better watch your mouth little girl, we wouldn’t want that pretty face of yours to get scratched, now would we,” Phillip replied with a smirk as he grabbed my wrist and slammed my back hard into the wall behind us, then gently kissed my forehead. “I see your training has paid off, that one actually hurt that time.”

“Little girl, I’m only a year younger than you, idiot. Now let go, or I’m really going to hurt you.” I said coldly as I continued to glare at him.
“Come on, just one kiss, please,” he replied with one of his irresistible smiles; that no girl can resist, well other than me. I’m the only one immune to his so called charm.

“Not even in your dreams,” I said as I, kneed him below the belt, which of course made him let of my wrist and fall over onto the ground in pain. “Don’t tell me I didn’t warn you.”

“Raven, what on earth is taking you so long?” Megan asked as she stuck her head into the room, right as I walked out, then started following me. “Let’s go Phillip, there’s no time to be lying down, we need to get her over to that party, or else Goodwin will be upset.”
