In my own world (Original Story)

Chapter 1

North Korea

"I have to go where?!" I yelled, my voice booming through the gym, starting a few of the students. "You can send me to China, you can send me to France, but to North Korea?!"

"Alice-"

"Alex!"

After clearing her throat she continued, "Alex, you have to remember, you brought this on yourself and-"

"Lies! All you tell me is lies! You were the one who got me into this in the first place! My life was all, la-di-da-di-da before you came along!" My voice rang with annoyance. I was waving my hands around, looking like an idiot.

"Hush Alice!" But her eyes seemed to scream shut up! She gave me a death glare and leaned in close, about 2 inches away from my face. "This is not a discussion Alice!"

"Alex" I grumbled, but I was ignored. She slowly rose from my face.

"You are leaving 10 am sharp and you mustn't tell anyone outside the building. If you fail, North Korea is the last place before you-know-who is in charge of you."

"Yeah. I'm soo scared of who's next, no one could be as bad as you!"

"That's not the point!" She stomped her foot, looking like an angry three year old.

"The point is that you need a mint and are very bad at controlling your temper, now goodbye!" I said in a song-song voice.

I didn't care what she had to say, for that matter, I didn't care what anyone had to say to me, I was on my own now. The rest of the world didn't seem to get that.

I felt the old creaky school-door slam as I ran out the entrance, not looking back.

"Hey everybody!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, "I'm goin' to North Korea!" A few heads turned my way but I only had a few seconds of joy before the guards came and picked me up, hauling me to the van.

I looked at the man in black on my right, "Oh hey Larry! How are the wife and kids?" I knew all the guards by name. They weren't allowed to speak on duty, but I got in a few laughs with Larry.

I smiled, "Not up for any small talk?"

"Alex, you've got to start shaping up. I've been to North Korea and trust me, it's not the best place to be sent, especially someone like you."

"Well it's not my fault everyone in the world is a big, fat idiot."

He sighed.

"Hey, I stole a sandwich from the cafeteria today! I'm the man!" Larry and I had this thing where we would decide who was the most bad-a__

"Larry, I could beat stealing a sandwich if needing a sandwich was all I ever needed in life. Today, I rewired some poor guys car to explode when he moved the gear shift. I'm the man! The wo-man!"

Still being carried by him we approached the van. Larry set me down and opened the car door. I climbed in and looked up at him.

"Always a pleasure Larry." I reached over and pulled the car door shut.

Larry was getting into the drivers seat of the car next to us and I noticed that the old lady in charge of me was coming right behind his car.

He put the car key into the ignition and the car roared to life. I watched him switch the gear shift from 'park' to 'reverse' and looked behind the car to watch it roll backwards.

I sighed, when was that stupid lady gonna get here?

Then I heard a clunk sound and a yell, like something had been hit. I looked through the window and saw my guardian lying on the ground, motionless.

I unlocked the car door and followed Larry to her body.

"Larry sir," I laughed, "you, are the man!"
