Mini stories

I decided to write some of these stories. I thought it would fun and I have a very vivid imagination so these are things I imagine a lot.

Chapter 1

Last Man On Earth

I really doubt anyone is reading this but if there is anyone out there, anyone at all left, this message is for you. An unexplainable event has happened. Everyone around me has vanish. As if into thin air. They're all just gone. Everyone. The people on the news, in their cars, down the street. I called every number in my phone. No one answered. I even dialed random numbers, hoping someone would pick up, but no one did.

At first I was scared, I cried for the first three hours when I realized all of my friends and family were gone but not long later, I accepted it. I decided to live my life, as long as I can, as best as I can, with the time I have left. What ever time that might be.

I decided that food was going to be the first immediate problem with no one else around, and I thought sense the power is still on, I could use the internet to find farming techniques. It's the easiest way to get food in this type of crisis.

I headed into my office and immediately got onto the computer. I smiled when I saw the internet still online. It was about 3 hours into searching and printing that my fear rose up again.

There was a knock at the door.

At first I was filled with joy, someone else besides me is alive! I headed away from my office to the front door. I looked through the peep hole. I saw no one.

It must've just been my imagination. I mean, I didn't want to be alone so much I must've imagined a knock, a chance that someone else could be alive, but no one was there. My heart fell to my stomach and I went back to searching the internet.

An hour had passed when I heard a second knock. This one a little louder than the previous.

I rushed quickly to the door and peeked out through the peep hole. I saw no one. I looked out the window by the door and still saw no one. I didn't hear any cars, nothing. No voices. Nothing.

I went back to my office, it was getting late and I was getting tired. Just need to finish off printing what I found about growing corn and then I will be done.

There was another knock at the door.

I ignored it this time. I'm imagining it. I so desperately want someone to be alive that I am hearing a knock at the door.

There was another knock at the door.

Why is my head doing this to me? It's torturing me.

There was another knock at the door.

Then another.

And another. Each one louder than the rest.

I decided to check again. I'm writing this now to tell you something. I've been hearing this knock at the door for hours now. Someone or something knows I'm here, and wants in. If anyone is out there, and if anyone is still alive when I post this, be warned. If I don't come back to my computer and post again, please. Please! I beg of you.

Please don't open the door.
