Anna Rose Finnigan
"Sure,"I murmured, flying over to him.
"Anna?"he asked. "You don't seem so...focused at the moment. That's not like you..."
"Look, Seamus, I'm...I'm thinking. About important stuff. Not stupid old Quidditch."
Seamus stared at me. "Anna!"
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to explode like that,"I said. "It's just been hard. On all of us. I think I'm gonna go to bed. Get some sleep, clear my head."
"Alright,"he replied, nodding. "I'll um, just practice, I guess." He started zooming around the garden, as I slipped in the back door.
"Hello, love, going to bed?,"said Mum, putting a large sack of potatoes into one of the cupboards.
"Yeah, thought I'd take a while to think,"I replied, giving her a quick peck on the cheek and hurrying up the stairs.
I reached my room, my ginger cat, Peggy, brushing up against my legs. Ginger, she reminded me of George. I sighed.
I hadn't seen him since Dumbledore's funeral. Dumbledore. Almost all hope was lost, with him gone, we just had to believe in Harry.
But George. It hurt. We were dating, but had to keep it a secret. Mainly because if we told Fred it might destroy our friendship. And I couldn't lose that. I just couldn't.
Just then, a letter flew in the window. I grabbed it, from my BFF, Ariel's owl, Moonlight. I read;
Hi Anna! How has your summer been? Anyway, I wanted to know if you could come to my house for the rest to the summer, you know, so we could have some company. It's kind of like a one month sleepover! Anyway, please ask your parents, and write back as soon as you can.
I propped the letter up on my bedside table. I jumped up, ran downstairs, and stopped by my Mom.
"Er, Mam, I know it's kind of late but I have a question,"I said.
"Ariel asked me to come over for the rest of the summer, so can I go?,"I asked, hopefully.
"Do you want to go, Anna?,"said Mum.
"What do you think?,"I asked.
"Now, Anna,"said Mum.
"Oh, sorry, Mam,"I replied. "But can I go?"
"Of course. Tell Ariel you'll Apparate to her house in the morning, around eleven, perhaps twelve. Now get back to bed."
"Okay,"I grinned, sprinting up the stairs, into my room, and sitting down at my desk. I pulled out a piece of parchment and wrote:
Hi, Ariel! My summers been great, though Seamus really wants to join the Quidditch team, so he's been getting me to practice with him. And yeah, I can come! Isn't that great! Anyway, Mum says I can Apparate to your house in the morning, around eleven, seeing as we've passed our tests!
Then I tied the letter to the family owl, Graham's leg. "Ariel's house,"I said, before turning out the light and going to sleep.
