This Could be a Rant, But I'm not Really Sure....

I guess this also counts as spam, but I sort of felt like I had to... :/

And I'm going to apologize now, all night I've been in a very righteous (i don't think that's the correct word) mood... Like my friends and I just spent a few hours pulling apart our school's government, and setting up our own platform and debating the Constitution, and that mindset has sort of stuck with me since 9 pm or whenever it was lol.

Chapter 1

I Really Hate YouTube Sometimes

by: QueenLila
So I just spent the last few hours on YouTube because that's what happens when one goes on YouTube, they fall down a video hole and watch all sorts of stuff (btw -- i just watched the shrek thing and like..... why?????? Literally....) but I ended up at some videos of various terrorist attacks, including 9/11. I was reading through the comments, and literally every comment, some random guy would show up and claim that 9/11 was staged. That in itself was pissing me off, because I don't know what your opinion is, but personally, I do not doubt that the attack was by exactly who the government claimed it to be by. These comments continued though, and the part that really got me the most was how the reasons they were using to back up their comments were completely random and not even sort of connected. I mean really, if you're going to put forth your opinions, by all means, do it. But save us all and actually find legitimate reasons. So that was my first issue with all that...

My second issue was that there were people claiming that people overseas (and I sincerely hope they were talking about soldiers there, not the militants/terrorists/etc because while my opinion that no one should die like this because people are too complex to be labelled as good or bad still stands, I definitely would put those trying to save more lives ahead, which from my perspective, is the troops overseas rather than terrorists) deserved much more credit because their deaths are much more important. I'm sorry, but I think that's the stupidest thing I have ever heard. I have a ton of respect for soldiers, and one of my favorite people was a soldier in Iraq, but I don't think we can compare the importance of different people's deaths. That's just illogical. Every human being is worth the same amount, because we all have the capacity to amount to the same thing. Some people take the wrong path in life, and end up basically screwing themselves (and often a ton of other stuff) up, but everyone starts out with the same worth. And a 23 year old guy working in one of the World Trade Centers on September 11 is worth just as much as a 23 year old soldier fighting in Iraq, because both have people who love them. It's like that proverb/quote thing: "To the world you may be one person, but to one person, you may be the world."

My third issue is with this 'hating' itself, I guess. This one is more general too, I think. I'm just going to say it: If you're going to hate on someone, please don't just insult them. Or at least, if that's your goal, do it intelligently (that's not the word I want, but I'll go with it for now lol). Don't just call someone a f♥cktard because you can't think of any other response. Like seriously, using profanities in that way is just a sign of stupidity. Personally, I don't mind at all when people use words like that in conversation, but when I hear/see them used because somebody is just too lazy/ignorant to actually come up with a decent argument, it pisses me off. So if you're going to be a hater, be a hater that actually knows what they're talking about :)
