## Googol and Googolplex [What's the big deal?]

Googol, Googol.... Googol you've probably heard this word before but say as the website google.com.

Well the word googol comes from a Russian mathematician named Edward Kasner, or more like his nephew Milton Sirotta who he asked to pick a name for 10 followed with 100 zeros

Googol
10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,
000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,
000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

Or for short 10 to the 100th power.

Now this number must seem HUGE to you but actually there's a few things we can think of that come very close to exceeding googol

Okay so say you tried to fill your room up to the brim with sand grains, and you counted all the grains and now that may seem like a lot, but it's actually around 50 billion grains so 50,000,000,000,000

Now let's say you wanted to know all the particles in the known Universe, that would be about 10 to the 80th power so.
10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

Now try say you filled the Universe entirely with sand particles, that would be about 10 to the 90th power. 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,
000,000,000,000,000,000,
000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

Which this is not even that big compared to some things we can think of.

Say you filled the Universe with Planck volume cubes, which means there 10 to the -35th power that would be 10 to the 183rd power so
10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,
000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,
000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

So that's something bigger then a googol a Googolplex

Googolplex
A Googolplex is such a big number I can't fit it on quibblo and infact if you wrote a Googolplex the zeros would stretch past the Universes actual size.(10 to the 10th to the 100th power)

Comparison to real life

-One Googol year is how long it will take for the last black hole to shrivel up and All matter to die out so far away they will never be able to interact with each other again and create a new Universe

-If the Universe was One Googolplex big (Which it is no were near as big and probably never will be in it's life time) If you started travel it would be IMPOSSIBLE to not find an EXACT REPLCIA of you somewhere in the Universe

Crazy right?

Thanks for reading the first chapter of my story "Have you thunk it?" please comment on what you would like me to talk about next either a question or just something interesting IT CAN BE ANYTHING, Also don't ask about the weird 0 placement because these numbers are so big quibblo can't fit them on a single page all spread out
