Child abuse can be made up of a wide range of things. Some of these things, however, are not as black and white as others. What is child abuse to you?

    A father, annoyed at the way his misbehaving ten-year old son is acting in the car, forces him to walk the remaining mile home, partially on a busy freeway.

    After a mouthy teen curses out her mother, the mother slaps the girl in the face.

    A mother refuses to let her six-year-old son eat dinner until he memorizes a Bible passage.

    Parents kick their pregnant 16-year old out of the house, refusing to have anything to do with her again.

    Parents send their teenager, who identifies with the LGBT community, to a re-orientation camp.

    A mother forces her two-year old to sit in his messy diaper for a few hours, in an attempt to motivate him to use the toilet next time.

    A father reads his daughter's diary, and posts the unfavorable things she wrote on Facebook.

    A mother, upset to learn that her child is a bully, makes him wear a 'bully' sign on his chest for an entire day.

    As punishment for cursing, parents put a bar of soap into a child's mouth.

    A father signs a waiver, which allows corporal punishment to be inflicted on his daughter in school.

    A mother refuses to let her child go to school until he completes his extensive morning chores at home, which makes him tardy more often than not.

    Parents, in an effort to curb their children's internet usage, make them pay money every time they use it for non-school purposes.
